Type II PPLN waveguide: high-performance communication band quantum photon pair light source

Quantum photon pairs are the core cornerstone of quantum key distribution, quantum entanglement experiments, and quantum optical demonstration systems. The PPLN lithium niobate waveguide based on spontaneous parametric down conversion (SPDC) can efficiently generate photon pairs due to its extremely high nonlinear coefficient.

The biggest feature of Type-II phase matching is that it relies on two sets of orthogonal polarizations to achieve nonlinear effects, and can directly output polarized orthogonal signal idler photon pairs. It is an ideal chip carrier for preparing entangled photon sources and predicting single photon sources.
